Botox®, Dysport®, and Daxxify® are FDA-approved neuromodulators that temporarily relax facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles and expression lines. These treatments are commonly used to soften forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows ("11 lines"), crow's feet, bunny lines, chin dimpling, neck bands, and other areas of the face and neck.

More About Neurotoxin

At BevMed LA, every treatment plan is customized to the patient's anatomy, muscle strength, aesthetic goals, and previous treatment history. Our goal is natural-looking results that help you appear refreshed, rested, and more youthful without looking frozen or overdone.

The procedure itself causes minimal discomfort and typically takes less than 15 minutes to perform.

The amount needed is highly patient dependent. In our practice, patients receive approximately 44 units on average for aesthetic purposes.

Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify typically begin working within 2–5 days, with full results developing over approximately 14 days. Results generally last between 2.5 and 4 months, although longevity varies between patients and treatment areas.

Like any injectable treatment, there is a small risk of bruising. To minimize bruising, consider avoiding alcohol, fish oil supplements, turmeric supplements, aspirin, and ibuprofen for approximately 5 days before treatment if medically appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify?

All three products work by temporarily relaxing muscles that contribute to wrinkles. They differ slightly in formulation, onset of action, diffusion characteristics, and duration. During your consultation, we can help determine which product may be the best fit for your goals.

How long does Botox last?

Most patients enjoy results for approximately 3–4 months. Individual results vary based on metabolism, dosage, treatment area, and muscle strength. How long does it take Botox to work?Initial improvement is often noticeable within 2–5 days. Full results typically develop within 10–14 days.

Does Botox hurt?

Most patients describe treatment as a series of small pinches. Discomfort is generally minimal and brief. Will Botox make me look frozen? When properly dosed, Botox should soften wrinkles while preserving natural facial movement. Our goal is a refreshed, natural appearance.

What age should I start Botox?

There is no universal age to begin treatment. Some patients start in their late twenties or early thirties for wrinkle prevention, while others begin later to soften existing lines.

Can Botox prevent wrinkles?

By reducing repetitive muscle movement, neuromodulators may help slow the development and deepening of dynamic wrinkles over time.

How often should I get Botox?

Most patients return every 3–4 months to maintain results.

Can men get Botox?

Absolutely. Neuromodulator treatments are increasingly popular among men seeking a refreshed appearance while maintaining a natural look.

What should I avoid before Botox?

If medically appropriate, patients often avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil supplements, turmeric supplements, and alcohol for several days before treatment to help reduce bruising risk.

What is the difference between Botox and filler?

Botox relaxes muscles that create wrinkles through movement. Dermal fillers restore lost volume and can enhance facial contours. Many patients choose to combine both treatments for comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

How much does Botox cost in Beverly Hills?

At BevMed LA, Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify treatments start at $13.50 per unit. Total cost depends on the treatment areas and number of units used.
