Botox is a neuromodulator, or muscle relaxant, that is injected into various areas of the face and neck to soften the appearance of wrinkles & lines.

The procedure itself causes minimal pain.

​

The amount of Botox needed is very patient dependent. In our practice, patients are receiving approximately 40 units on average for aesthetic purposes.

Botox takes roughly 3-5 days to start kicking in, and its' effects last between 2.5 and 4 months (the higher the dosage, the longer the duration).

Like with any aesthetic injections, there is a small chance of bruising. Try to avoid blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oils, tumeric pills, and alcohol 5 days prior to procedure.
