TMJ/Masseters

When the chewing muscles (the Masseter and Temporalis muscles) are overused, this can result in TMJ, jaw pain, headaches, and teeth grinding. We can utilize Botox (a neuromodulator, or muscle relaxant) to weaken these muscles in order to relieve pain and decrease dental complications.

*Facial Slimming effect:
Overusing the Masseter muscle in particular often causes a wide or square-like shaped appearance of the face. Botoxing this muscle also helps to slim down the appearance of the face. Some individuals without any pain or dental problems can still have enlarged Masseters and would benefit aesthetically from relaxing them.

Trapezius/Shoulders:

Many individuals suffer from overactive and painful Traps causing shoulder, neck, and head pain. We can relax the Trapezius muscle by utilizing Botox (a neuromodulator, or muscle relaxant) to alleviate this tension. When doing so, the pain relief is accompanied by many aesthetically desired results, including improved posture, a slender looking neck and elongated shoulders.

The procedure itself causes minimal to no pain.

Patients notice improvements anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks, and results last between 3-6 months. With any neuromodulator, the more given, the longer the effect lasts.
